The weather station I chose for this blog is located in British Columbia, Canada on the Southwest islands of British Columbia. The station is called ADDENBROKE IL, and its elevation is at 69 ft. with a Latitude of 51.600° N and longitude of 127.867° W. This data and station was provided by the NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) by the US department of commerce. The data dates back from January 1978, to January 2014. The following graphs provide an overview for averages for different locations in BC, correlating with my analysis of the data downloaded. Following the other locations’ data sets, is my compilation of temperature and precipitation level averages, dating back 36 years.
This is the location of the weather center of which the data I will be analyzing is from. image provided by Google Maps.

This table and graph provide visuals for my analysis and averages of the data provided by the NOAA and the National Climatic Data Center. It is evident through these displays, that when the temperature around the station is warmer (summer seasons), the less precipitation there is.
Since BC Canada provides for such a complex climate, with ranges going all over the place, I am providing below, some other graphs and visuals of other locations.

These graphs show the average temperatures and precipitations for different areas within Vancouver island, since the temperature ranges are so broad within the whole province. (image from www.climate.weatheroffice.ed.gc.ca)
This graph shows the Temp (low and high) as well as precipitation for Victoria Canada, which is more inland than my chosen weather station. (image from hellobc.com)
The Geographic setting of BC is settled within the Pacific ocean (coastal regions) and it is also surrounded by many mountains (alpine regions). There are wide variations in the hours of sunshine, amounts of rain and snow, and temperatures, depending on the exact location within this province. Some areas provide for coastal, warm pacific climates, others with dry climates- with limited precipitations, and some have a mountain climate (with wide and varying temperature ranges.)
Overall, after reviewing the Data downloaded from NOAA as well as graphs from areas all over British Columbia, the province itself generally sees cold, wet winters with a lot of snowfall, and warm summers with not a lot of precipitation.
The Bowen Ratio average for BC Canada in the daytime ranges around 1.00, although it has been seen to go as high as 2.5. Since this weather station location is located very close to the Pacific Ocean, on an Island, its specific Bowen Ratio will be closer to .10, since that is the average Bowen ratio for most oceans.
